My very deepest sympathies. John and I attended the College of Steubenville together back in the 60's. He was a good kid and apparently a better man from what I have read. Many memories rushed through my mind even though I have not seen him since 1968. Be strong as he is in a better place. I hope he did not suffer.

We would like to send our sincere and deepest sympathy to all in your family at this time of sorrow and loss that you are feeling.
We knew Duke from way back when Kirby Electric had their place on 48th. Street in Lawrenceville. My Aunt Josephine Kopec sends her deepest sympathy to the family, as well as my sister Cindy and I, the Hunter Family. We were just kids then, but remember the Kirby family very well. Mr. Kirby, Duke's father was a very nice man.He and his sons were always so nice to us. We remember seeing them coming and going to their job each day. They had the business in the alley way on 48th. Street. We lived in the first house on 48th. Street.
Duke had a great personality, just like his father. The sons were always so nice to my Aunts and Uncles as well as my family. We remember watching them when we were kids taking their boat out of the lot on 48th. Street for fun on weekends.
We will keep Duke, as well as all in your family in our prayers.

Pat - I just learned of your brother's passing a few minutes ago. You may not remember me, but I worked with Mellon Bank a number of years ago and met both of you at that time. I certainly enjoyed working with Duke and you during that time. Duke was certainly a big man with a big personality, and it is easy to see why he was so well liked by family, friends, and business associates alike. Please accept my sincerest condolences and best wishes for your entire family as it deals with this tragic event.
