LANGRIDGE, John Lewis December 23, 1956 - December 21, 2010 John Lewis Langridge, loving husband, father and pappy, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Calgary, AB at the age of 53 years. He is survived by his children Jeff, Mark, Nick, Shyla, Gordon, Richard and Mike; grandchildren Emily, Brooklynn, Jaiden and James; and wife Bonnie. He is also survived by his mother Adda Lou Carroll and his brothers Ray and Rob Carroll, as well as numerous relatives. John will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lewis Langridge and Doris Langridge. John dedicated twenty-six years of employment with Coca Cola Canada. He proudly served his country with No. 22 RCSCC Undaunted Navy Cadet Corps, No. 1292 LDSH RCAC and King's Own Calgary Regiment Reserve. John was also very honoured and inspired to volunteer with the Calgary Power Hockey League. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Visitation held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Centre Street Church, 3900 - 2 Street N.E., Calgary on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Calgary Power Hockey League, PO Box 38046, Calgary, AB T3K 5G9. John will be missed by all his family in Toronto.I remember the good times we had at the cottage with John and Uncle Lewis and the fond memories when they visited Toronto at Grandma Langridge's house.Also when John and Jane visited Mom and Dads with the boys.I was glad he came to my dads funeral 3 yrs ago as he had alot of wisdom to share with Ryan and Shelby and they also stayed facebook friends.It was nice to stay in touch on a regular basis.Love Wendy,Dean Shelby and Ryan

Although I knew John for only a short time through our shared affiliation with RCSCC Undaunted, I know that he will be sorely missed. He was always positive and smiling, and obviously very committed to the young people in the cadet program.

I last talked to John at the Kids Christmas production last Wednesday. My kids and his Grandkids go to school together. I have known him for many years being a contractor at CCB.
