Thinking about you this morning dear brother. You got Mom up there with you sooner than you or any of us knew. Just got done reading a birthday card from you. I'll never forget some of your last words to me "Fight the good fight"- and you know I am doing just that. Time is short on the world in comparison to eternity so I am sure it'll be soon before I join you, Mom and all the family in Heaven of ours. I love you for who you are and now you have been made perfect in Christ. Almost 8 months in eternal glory and you have eternity to go. Love my
"big" brother. - Nick

John Paul was more than a cousin to me. More like a brother, and certainly a life long friend. I will never forget memories created with him.
I have memories from a very early age of him glorifying God, and urging me to do the same. He was always a positive encouragement and believed in me. I am one person his life touched.
Love always.

John lives on in my heart. I have his ashes in my office. My grandson Isaiah, Sarah's son, found John's sports bag in the apartment downstairs yesterday, where John and Sarah spent a lot of time. He smelled the bag and he said, "It smells like John." We smiled and remembered him fondly. John showed great love to my grandchildren especially Aidan and Pip (Isaiah). When John was here, the only place the kids wanted to be was with him. John had a great gift of affirming the goodness in the kids and others, including myself and making us feel good about ourselves. John always raised our confidence in ourselves because he saw the good in all. I miss him. My love to all in the family. May the Lord's grace and comfort be with you. Peace of Our Lord to All. Tears of Pain and Joy. Love, Patty

Growing up, I was very close to my sweet little brother, John Paul. I am so disappointed to have lost him. We had a very strong bond of love and trust. John Paul had a sensitive spirit and heart for the underdog that few could parallel. He had an admirable sense of fairness and a desire to honor God. I miss him so much. I am thankful for the 31 years I had him in my life and so look forward to seeing him in heaven. Heaven is richer because of him. I love you John Paul. You will forever carry on in my heart like a candle that shines brightly so will the memory of you with me. Thank you for the many good times, all of our heart to hearts, and your strong hugs that I miss. I know because of your trust in Christ, you are in a better place. With love and fraternal honor, your Sister, Andrea

I don't think I ever had the pleasure to meet John Paul in person.I have always heard about him and know that he was way too young to be gone. Thoughts and prayers for the family he leaves behind. I hope they can have great peace in all the good memories they have of him. He was another cousin that I never got to know, but I'll always remember him. Love and prayers to all.

John was a very kind and respectful young man. We shared several good times together in both prayer and conversation. He was a genuine pleasure to be around.

Proud to be involved in my brother's funeral arrangements, but miss him so much. So sorry for his wife, my Mom, family, and everyone that came to know and love John over the years. We had some of the best conversations of our life this Summer, and it was like old times. He is in a place where there is no pain, suffering, or problems. Dear brother, I am so sorry your life was cut short. I know the things you cared about, and like my you- my brother before me, I will carry those on and make you proud. I can sense your presence in Heaven and know you must be looking down on us now. We are sorry to lose you but not sorry you are in eternal glory. I will see you soon dear brother. This life is but a glimpse compared to eternity. Everyone I have talked to recently has remarked about how smart you were. I may have more letters after my name, but you can't take it with you. I was always impressed by your knowledge, artistic ability, and intuition. This isn't good bye, you just moved into Heaven a little earlier than me, Mom, Dad, Sarah, Andrea, and all those you loved. No words can describe the emotional pain we are in over your loss- a pain you will never know or have to suffer through again. Till the Lord calls me home.....
Your brother,
Nick

John was, and I believe still is, a brilliant soul. John was able to express all his deepest thoughts with intelligent sensitivity. Children were attracted to John's kind and affirming, peaceful ways. When John was here, I could not keep the children away. He spoke with such uplifting words to them. He entertained us all with his proud stories of his family and experiences. If John had the where-with-all to become his true essence, I believe he would have been an evangelist for Our Lord Jesus Christ. I am sadden that John was unable to fulfill his true purpose but he gave all of his heart to us when he was here. Thank you John for touching our hearts as you did. I will miss you each day. Thank you for loving our Sarah. I know you are peaceably with the Lord watching all of us and smiling. May the Lord's peace be a comfort to us all. My love and sympathy to Mom, Nanny, Sister, Brother, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Nephew and Niece - all the folks who John was proud to be a part of his family. We and I will miss you.
Peace,
Patty
