DOUDS — John LeRoy “Bud” Robinson, 67, of Nixa, Mo. was born Dec. 31, 1940 in Keosauqua.He graduated from Douds High School and attended Parsons College, Fairfield. He was superintendent of Douds Stone, Inc. Douds mine for many years and was a salesman for Morton Supply Co. in Missouri.On Sept. 2, 1989 he was united in marriage to Patricia K. Walker. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ozark, Mo. Bud was a very religious and spiritual person. He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Dawn Renee Robinson.Surviving are his wife, Patricia Robinson; his parents, John Louis and Josephine Robinson of Goreville, Ill.; his children and their spouses, Denise and Rusty Shay of Kansas City, Mo., Carla and Ray Insley of Tallahassee, Fla., Carmen and Lyle Harvey of Lockridge and Jared and Jason Robinson of Douds; stepchildren and their spouses, Todd Johnstone of Oskaloosa, Kevin and Vicky Johnstone of Ottumwa and Daniel Johnstone of Coralville; 15 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a brother, Louie Robinson and wife, Connie and a sister, Janet Young and husband, Perry all of Goreville, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 Battlefield, Springfield, Mo. Visitation with the family present will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, prior to the service.Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery, Douds.Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be left at either the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1512 South Main St., Nixa, Mo. 65714.Obituary may be viewed at: www.legacy.com/ottumwacourier/Obituaries.asp
