John Robisheaux Obituary

John S. Robisheaux Jr. (USAF Retired Senior Master Sgt.) passed away on April 28, 2008. He was born in Moreauville, LA on July 26, 1932 to the late John Sr. and Olive Eells Robisheaux. He served in the USAF from 1950-1971. He then worked for USAA and Datapoint Corp. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patsey Light Robisheaux; son, Robert Robisheaux and wife Candice; daughter, Debra Ivey and husband Gary James; grandchildren, Brandon Robisheaux and Christin and Taylor Ivey; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Pearl; sister, Sherry Stogner and husband Gene; brothers, Marvin Robisheaux and wife Gladys, and Gary Robisheaux and wife Sandy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all who held him in prayer throughout his battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Dellcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am Thursday, May 1, 2008 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Dellcrest Funeral Home.

Sure will miss his comments in Speakeasy over at CNET dot com. He always had some of the most interesting comments to add. He was one of the "good guys" for sure, both in forum and in life. We'll miss you JR.

Thank you to everyone for your expressions of sympathy. John knew & cared about a lot of people. I'm elated to know that many of you felt the same about him. He was the most interesting man I've ever known. He was & will always be my greatest love.
