I very much appreciated Mr. Scammell's comments on my dad's (Pete MacLennan) memorial page in 2011. My condolences to the Scammell family.

Condolences to John's family. Our paths crossed in the 1960's when radar was introduced to ATC operations, and I was in the Telecom support group in Ottawa. Always enjoyed a chat with John.

I always had a great time when I was around John. Unfortunately that didn't happen very often due to living so far apart.
I'll always have the great memories of John though. I'll miss him.

To the Scammell Family,
I met John at the Perley R2S in March of this year, as he ate his supper meal with my Dad. He always greeted me with a smile, friendly words, and a very firm hand shake. He was quick to laugh at any of our antics.
On behalf of my Dad, Tony, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. We will miss John very much.
