In Loving Memory of John Dennis Sullivan.Sunrise: [July 3, 1943] - Sunset: July 10, 2025It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, John Dennis Sullivan, known by most as Dennis Sullivan, departed this life on July 10, 2025, at the age of 82. He passed peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to family.Born in Gary, Indiana, Dennis was the third of 6 siblings 3 Boys (Ronald, Dennis & Frank) & 3 girls (Gale, Diane & Nancy) a guiding light to all who knew him. He was a man of quiet wisdom and gentle humor, always ready with a helping hand or a thoughtful word. His presence brought comfort, and his stories-often filled with wit and warmth-will be cherished forever.Dennis and his wife Dolores enjoyed countless boat cruises, embracing the joy of world travel and the serenity of the sea. Their shared passion for discovering new places and cultures was a testament to their deep bond and zest for life.He is survived by his brother Frank Sullivan, sister Nancy Hibbard and husband Duane, Stepson Steven Melikean, nieces Jackie Todesco and Johanna Latz, nephew Greg Latz and neighbor Greg Margo who will carry his memory in their hearts and honor his legacy through their lives. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Sullivan, father Frank Sullivan and mother Betty Sullivan, sisters Gale DeGive, Diane Sullivan and brother-in-law Gary DeGive.A memorial service will be held on July 29th at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St., Santa Clara, CA 95050 where friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and share the stories that made him unforgettable. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to American Cancer Society in Dennis's honor, to support cancer research and patient care.Rest in peace Dennis. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
