My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring. May the God of all comfort grant you peace and strength to endure the days ahead.

I met John through Helen Meyers and was able to spend some time sharing stories of golf and his travels. John always had excellent advice on where to find a great meal, or a new bourbon to try. My life is better for having known John. He was a good man who loved life and his family, and he will be greatly missed.
