What a wonderful and caring pastor a man of God in all rights and in all ways... When he married my husband and I in 1985-Aug 31 he said that we must stick together and don't let anybody wreck our marriage (LOL) and to make him proud. Well we did and we are stronger together because of putting God first. Janet (My childhood playmate) and the Baker family, my heart goes out to you at this time. Grief is hard to bare, but God is always near to comfort and keep you. Give yourself completely over to his care.
I will always remember Rev Baker as a kind, gentle, and Godly friend. When our father died after spending 3 months in the hospital, he was there for us. To Sister Janet Baker and family! Praying Gods blessings of abundance peace and comfort to all of you during your time of bereavement. Rev. Baker was a gentle giant of a man! He was my mentor In ministry who didnt mine sharing his knowledge and wisdom. During our conversations when I made statements that were some what cliche, he would challenge me and make me explain what I thought was the obvious. But, when I would try to justify my statement, he was right, it didnt quite make sense. (LOL) Yes, he indeed was a SCHOLAR and conversations with him were extraordinary. I will miss my Father In Ministry. I only trust that I made him proud. He will always be remembered in my heart. Family lean on the strength and power that comes from the Lord. God bless!!
