JONES D. YOW, III "Doug" 60, Died peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2002 at home with his family at his side. Doug touched many lives and will forever be remembered for his fantastic personality and zest for life. He grew up in Toccoa, Georgia where he graduated from Eastonolle High. He attended Clemson University, and served four years in the Navy with Fighter Squadron 191 in Miramar, CA. He came to south Florida in the late 60's. He was employed at Rinker Materials for 30 years, was a member of the Shrine, Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge and Scottish Rite. Doug loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Airboat & Halftrack Club and was an avid hunter. Doug will always be remembered for his famous BBQ Sauce. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Jones D. Yow, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela; son, Jones D. Yow, IV (Jody); mother Mrs. Jones D. Yow, Jr. of Toccoa, GA; sisters: Hayden Rather (Gordon) of Little Rock, AR, and Mary Shore (Allen) of Gainesville, GA. Doug never met a stranger, so he will be sadly missed by a lifetime of wonderful friends. The Yow family will receive friends from 3 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, November 23 at Florida Gardens Clubhouse, located at 134 Ohio Road, 1/4 mile east of the Turnpike, off Lake Worth Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Doug to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., WPB, FL 33407.

This is my grandfather, I never got to meet him because he passed away when I wasnt even born. I heard so many great things about him from his son which was my father but my father passed away as well.
You will be missed.
