Springdale - Age 64. Beloved husband of Lisa Martinez. Dear brother of Maribel (Jack) Ewing and brother-in-law of Dr. William (Theresa) Buoni. Loving uncle of Michele (Corey) Fast, Maria Buoni, Joseph (Lisa) Buoni, Anna (John) Tufano, Thomas (Liz) Buoni, Rose Buoni, Monica Buoni, and Nina Buoni. Preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo & Raquel (nee Fraticelli) Martinez. Jose was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in economics. He attended Ohio State University where he was enrolled in their Master's in Business program and was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Jose was also a proud Eagle Scout. Passed away on April 14, 2018. Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:30 PM - 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthias Church, 1050 W Kemper Rd., Forest Park, OH 45240 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10 AM. Condolences to vorhisandryan.com

Jose was a friend to everyone who knew him - always with a kind, encouraging word and a twinkle in his eye. We were all the better for having known him. My deepest sympathies to Lisa and his family for this enormous loss.

I worked with Jose since he joined the Attorney General's Office. He was a fine attorney and well-liked by all who met him. When new staff arrived to the section, he was one of the first to greet him. He is missed. My heartfelt sympathies to Lisa and the family for your loss.

I am truly saddened by the recent passing of Jose . We attended the same undergraduate college, and he was a classmate of mine in law school. I will greatly miss him and his kind, gentle demanor that touched everyone he encountered. I have always admired, respected and appreciated him as a friend and mentor. My deepest condolences and sympathies to his lovely wife Lisa and their entire family. He will be missed greatly by all that new him and especially the Cincinnati Legal Community. May you rest in peace forever Jose.
