Jose Antonio Parga Sr.

Jose Antonio Parga, Sr., 64, of Riverside, California went to be in the Presence of The Lord Jesus surrounded by his family on February 12, 2016. He was born in San Jose deLos Llanos, Zacatecas, Mexico on February 12, 1952. He migrated to the United States in 1970 and made California his new home state. Throughout his journey in California he lived in many cities and enjoyed exploring new territory. He was an adventurer at heart.
Jose is survived by his wife Maria of 42 years, daughters Judy, Patty, Liz, Ana, son Jose Jr., sisters, Concha, Tere, Cristina, Ana, Lupe, Sofia, brother Mariano Parga and many loving grandchildren (Ray, Marco, Zoe, Vincent and baby Oliver), nieces, nephews and extended family. Jose was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother, godfather and friend to all. He was full of charisma, charm and an amazing sense of humor. His jokes were endless and his smile unforgettable. His grandkids called him "Papa Tono."
Jose loved horses and worked very hard as a cabinet maker for over 40 years until he was forced to give up his his passion for cabinetry and horses due to his illness. He loved the ranch life and had many animals in his little farm behind his house; which included chickens, roosters, goats, peacocks, and his horses. His sport was the care and maintenance of his horses on the weekends. He was always teaching them how to dance to the beats of his favorite songs. He enjoyed watching both Mexican and American western movies. John Wayne was one of his favorite actors as was Antonio Aguilar. He loved music and dancing. He was the life of any party. On Sunday mornings you would find him reading Horse Trader and the Pennysaver. Jose was always there to help friends and family with household projects and upgrades to their kitchens, or whatever else they needed him for. He loved helping his family at any cost and worked hard to always provide. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to ensure his family was safe. He was a true protector and a man full of passion. He loved deeply. He will be truly be missed and live in the hearts of many forever.

Also, a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Loma Linda Medical Center for their compassionate care. Also, thank you to Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial for all their arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, February 25. Funeral services for Jose will be at Rancho Christian Center in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, February 26 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Jose will be laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, California.
