Joseph HELLER Obituary
February 16, 1929 - December 14, 2013
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing at home, of our husband, brother, dad, grandpa and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Helen (nee Booth); five children, Jim (Debbie) son Joey; Cathy (Brian Sereda) and children, Ben, Zach, Sara; Bob (Sandy) and daughter Emily; Dan and daughter Miya; Marianne (Reg Dickson) and children Claire and Davis; siblings, Frieda Smith, Mary Fitzpatrick, Ray (Cathy), Pat Heller and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his infant son Patrick, parents Joseph and Mary born in Nagytevel, Hungary, brothers-in-law Burte Fitzpatrick and Merle Lightbody.
With his true love Helen by his side, along with his faith, Joe tackled life with passion and pride. His loyalty ran deep, as did his generosity with those less fortunate. Joe's collection of all things was a marvel but his greatest pride and joy was his family and collection of grandchildren. Grandpa was always their biggest fan and will continue to be so from his club seat.
As we struggle to say goodbye we are strengthened by the love and support of family and friends and we are thankful for the great legacy he has left all of us.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at1:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior, at St John's Evangelist Catholic Parish, 9830 - 148 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe's name to the Marion Centre, 10528 - 98 Street, Edmonton, AB T5H 2N4 or a charity of one's choice.

Auntie Helen, Jim, Cathy, Bob, Maryanne, and Dan. The first thing that I saw when I heard the news was Uncle Joe and his big smile and his natural way of making you feel so loved and cared for. He truly had a big heart. He will be missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. Growing up with Joe as a neighbour was a pleasure not only for myself but also for my children and grandson. He will be missed he was a kind and gentle soul. Joe may there be many raspberry bushes for you to enjoy, you will be missed. As Kayden says your soul will never die.
