Joseph Mazur Obituary
Joseph M. Mazur, 73, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, N.J.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he resided in Elizabeth, N.J., since 1961.
He was a military policeman in the U.S. Army.
Joseph graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
He had various jobs as a machine designer, with the most recent at Nextrom Technologies Inc., Perth Amboy, N.J. There, he worked on the design of machines for the manufacture of wire. He also wrote instruction manuals for the use of multi-wire machines.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Helen Mazurm and one grand-nephew, Michael D'Amore.
Surviving are his sisters, Janice Gomolson, Edison, N.J.; and Antoinette Robles-Paulino, Cliffwood Beach, N.J.; two nieces and two nephews.
The funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Route 27), Metuchen, N.J., followed by interment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
