Joseph Parrino

Joseph W. Parrino, age 75, of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Bessie Parrino; sister, Joanne Parrino; and son, Joseph Parrino, Jr. He is survived by his life partner of 16 years, Adam Verett. Joe was born in New Orleans on September 23, 1947. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University. Well-known in the fashion industry holding relationships with manufacturers world-wide, Joe owned Fleur de Paris, a highly unique European-style millinery on Royal Street in New Orleans for 40 years. Known for its women's hats, created individually in-store for its clients, Joe did all the buying for the boutique, traveling annually to major markets in New York. Joe also owned Sunset Serenade, a multi-acre property in Negril, Jamaica, for which he conceived and designed all of the property's buildings, cottages, landscaping, and water features. A visitation for Joe will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and International Shrine of St. Jude, 411 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70112, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am, with a Reception thereafter. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in New Orleans.
