Joe and I go back to the early 70's when he was a contractor for GTE and I was an employee. We lost contact with each other when he was transferred out of Tampa, but we reconnected through mutual friends around 2010. The very first thing I noticed was that he was the same JOE, he hadn't changed! He has always been very kind, considerate and thoughtful...the things people loved about him. I'm going to really miss the big guy and all the long conversations we used to have. I always thought of you being invincible, Joe .... bigger than life itself. Joe, if there is a hereafter, I hope you are there and that you are enjoying it. Your friend always, Priscilla

We met Joe at the Sanford Elks Lodge shortly after moving to Florida in 2015; he became our sponsor for lodge membership. Shortly thereafter, Joe loaded me into his pickup truck for a trip to the Florida Elks Youth Camp in Umatilla to show me first-hand what he and the Florida Elks accomplished. Big Joe was the consummate gentleman and a proud Elk. May he Rest in Peace.
