On Monday, March 12, 2012. Beloved husband for 45 years to Barbara (Hofbauer); father of Cheryl, Jason (Lorrie) and Michael Safar; grandfather of Kathryn, Eden, Jason, Jr. and Ryan Safar; brother of Judith (the late Joseph) Dembowski; brother-in-law of Paul (Cheryl) Hofbauer, D.P.M. and Jane Frances Hofbauer; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the FINDLAY C. WYLIE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11311 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills. Funeral Mass Thursday 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church. Interment private.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Bud made me feel like another son of his when I spent time in his home. He was funny, kind, gentle, helpful, honest... The list could go on for days. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Miss you all and wishing you peace.
