On July 8, 2018, age 69 yrs. of Ambler. Beloved husband of Ellen C. (nee Mulvey). Loving father of Michael C. Schafle (Sian) and the late Erin M. Schafle and Elizabeth M. Schafle. Also survived by 2 grandchildren Madeline and Caroline Schafle and one brother James Schafle (Jeanne). Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Mass Saturday 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Dr., Maple Glen, PA 19002. Int. St. John Neumann Cem. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing at WILLIAM R. MAY FUNERAL HOME 354 N. Easton Rd. (at Keswick Ave.) Glenside, PA 19038 Friday 4 to 7 P.M. and a Viewing at Church Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends Select School Teacher Erin Schafle Global Travel Fund, 17th and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Phila., PA 19103 or Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, 528 Fellowship Rd., Mt. Laurel, N.J. 08054 would be appreciated.

Three years have gone by, and I still think of/ talk to Joe. He was such a big part of my life. I will always miss him. I am sending my love to his beautiful wife, Ellen and their family.

Ellen & Mike,
Our most sincere condolences of Joe's passing.
He was always a great husband, father, grandfather to his family, and a great friend to all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor.
I will always remember all those St. A's CYO basketball and baseball games where we sat side by side and cheered for the kids. The wonderful trips to Myrtle Beach that Joe organized will always be etched in my mind.
We will miss him terribly.
Just know that you have the love and support of the St. A's community to rely on if there is ever anything you need.

Joe was my boss, my friend, and my confidant, for many, many years. He will be missed.
