Joseph Warner

Joseph Michael Warner, 79, of Sparks, NV, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 31, 2025, at Renown Medical Center in Reno, NV.

He was born on October 3, 1945 to Joseph Nicholas Warner and Mary (Charnak) Warner-Close of Pottsville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, many loved ones and great friends.

Joseph graduated from Pottsville High School, Class of 1963. He went on to attend Thaddeus Stevens College in Lancaster, PA. After graduating in 1966, he joined the Navy, and was stationed at Mare Island, Vallejo, CA, Naval Inshore Operations Center. He was honorably
discharged in 1972.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Ann (Moyer) Warner; son Joseph Warner, husband of Isela Warner, granddaughter Talia Warner, Reno, NV.; sister Mary Elizabeth Warner, Sparks, NV.; brother Michael Francis Warner, husband of Susan Warner, Grass Valley, CA. and nephews David and Eric Warner.

Over his life he took many different career directions: new home builder, project superintendent, contractor, industrial hygienist, real estate agent, maintenance engineer at a local resort, and at the time of his passing, was employed as a property maintenance
technician for local government. Joe loved fishing, gardening, watching football and car racing, but most of all he loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter, and his pets. He chose to be cremated and his ashes scattered on one of the lakes he enjoyed fishing with his family.
