Dear Mike, Rachel, Catherine, Simon, Damien and families, I would like to pass on our most sincere condolences on behalf of my family and our founding members families of Ups and Downs Calgary and the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. There are so many memories I have of Jo, so many. Over the past 11 years I have met so many amazing people through the DSRF, a centre we can all call our own, thanks to the hard work and dedication and belief that people with Down Syndrome have so many different abilities, not disabilities. She made me the mother that I am today, and I will miss her with all my heart and soul, I will miss her. Mike, to you and your family, I want to send my deepest sympathy for your loss of such an amazing woman. I will never forget her, never!
love Abbe

Dear Mike and family,
When I think of Jo, I smile when remembering her exhuberance, energy and inspiration to parents and caregivers of people with Down syndrome. I am a parent, and a volunteer, first meeting Jo at the CDSS office when it moved to Surrey. My daughter Andrea was a toddler at the time. I admired her determination which I will remember always. Losing her has created a very large hole in many people's hearts. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.
