I met Josh quite by accident when he would come into Hollywood Video to rent a movie or buy a bottle of water. He always had a huge smile on his face and he had always been running or biking. He and my son were friends and when I asked my son about Josh, he said, "yeah, Josh is a good guy." We sent messages back and forth via MySpace and I once asked him how he became a fan of Three Dog Night (after hearing 'Shambala' playing on his page) and he told me his Father used to listen to it. I was so shocked to hear this horrible news. My thoughts go out to his family. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.

I am grateful for the time I knew Josh (his middle school & high school days), and for the way he challenged us to search beyond the easy answers of life and faith. He was a bright young man who had plenty of obstacles to overcome. I pray he is at rest, and that we will honor him with our lives.
