Mr. Joshua Josh Lucas

Funeral services for Joshua "Josh" Lucas, 72, of Cochran, who died Friday, June 22, 2018, will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with pastor Marty Dillan officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens. Born in Bleckley County, Josh was the son of the late Gus & Ira Hardiman Lucas. He was a retired small engine repairman. Josh loved bluegrass music and was the original manager of the Oak Grove Jamboree in Cochran. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cochran. Two sons, Dale and Dean Lucas and a brother, James W. Lucas, preceded him in death. Survivors include: companion, Pat Gibbs of Cochran; daughter, Michelle Lucas of Byron; son, Mitchell Lucas of Americus; Sisters, Geraldine L. Fennell and Angelyn Merz both of Cochran, Irma L. Greene of Saint Simons; 9 grandchildren. The family is at the residence of Mrs. Geraldine Fennell, 1872 GA Hwy 26E in Cochran and will meet friends Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home.
