JOSHUA OMBIRI Obituary
Age 23, of Mt. Lebanon, on Monday, June 4, 2018. Born in Kenya, he and his family moved to the United States in 2004. Beloved son of James and Phelgona; devoted and caring older brother of Samuel; grandson of the late Zabulon and Hellen Ombiri and Isaac and Phoebe Randiki; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joshua was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and attended Waynesburg University. He loved sports, soccer, smash and he ran cross-country at Waynesburg. A member of the Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, he was an ordained Deacon and loved by all generations. Joshua loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served Him as a children's ministry intern for two summers and was looking forward to working with the youth as an intern this summer. He was a gifted teacher, counselor and had a smile that would light up a room. Family and friends will be received at the MT. LEBANON EVANGELICAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 255 Washington Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15216 on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Friends are invited to meet at the church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. We will leave at 10:00 a.m. for a processional to Mt. Lebanon Cemetery for the committal service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to MLEPC (address above), noting Ombiri Memorial Fund in the memo line, will be greatly appreciated.
