Joyce Keegan Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and The Province from Mar. 1 to Mar. 2, 2006.
KEEGAN _ Joyce (nee Bechard). Born November 6, 1947 in Regina Saskatchewan. It is with love and sadness that I Gerry announce the passing of my loving wife Joyce on February 26, 2006. Lovingly survived by brothers Larry, Cubby (Bilijana); sister Dianne (Ron) brother-in-law Darrell, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, all co-workers at the Hastings Brass Foundry. Good friends Jim and Jane Rohatensky, Lloyd and Dianne Robson and Rick Davidson and family. Predeceased by her parents Edna and Albert, sisters Louise and Maureen. Even though suffering from cancer she never complained and fought it to the end, she was a real trooper and will be missed by all. Special thanks to VGH staff and Cancer Agency. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 2 from 6 - 9pm with a celebration of her life to be held Friday, March 3, 2006 at 10:00am from Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby. Interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. If friends so desire donations appreciated to the VGH or the Cancer Agency.

We were both so saddened by Joyce's passing. There are so many wonderful memories of times at "the house" when we danced, drank and talked. Joyce will be in our hearts. Sincere condolences, Gerry. Love, Peter and Bernice

You mean everything to me and are everything I could have ever asked for in an aunt and more. I feel so fortunate to have had such a wonderful woman in my life. We will forever hold a special bond. Together we have shared so many precious memories that will stay with me forever. I will always remember you as such a warm, loving, strong, courageous woman that lived each day to the fullest. It is now time that we must let you rest but rest assured you will never rest in our memories. You will be with me always.
