JULIE A. PLAYTER WECKER, 49 ROCKTON - Julie A. Playter Wecker, 49 of Rockton, IL died at 3:49 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital suddenly. She was born March 6, 1965 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Eileen (Watson) Playter. Julie graduated from Turner High School in Beloit, WI the class of 1983 and attended Blackhawk Tech. Married to Dennis Wecker in Beloit, WI on August 24, 1985. Julie worked as a legal assistant for Williams & McCarthy Law and was in risk management at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She is a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Beloit, WI. She taught religious education; former member of Hands of Faith. Julie is survived by her soul mate and loving husband, Dennis Wecker; beloved children, Darin and Jenna Wecker all of Rockton, IL; Cherished parents, Kenneth and Eileen Playter of Beloit, WI; beloved brother, Jeffery Playter; nephew, Cody (Amanda) Playter; niece, Kaiti Playter all of Sun Prairie, WI; father and mother in-law, Dihl and RuthAnn Wecker of South Beloit, IL; brother in-law, Rodney (Trina) Wecker of Sherman, TX; sister in-law, Sandy (Dave) Hallman of Queen Creek, AZ; niece, Cameron Wecker, nephew, Paxson Wecker and niece, London Wecker all of Sherman, Tex.; nephew, Mason Hallman of Queen Creek, AZ; nephew, Dave (Kari) Playter and Bailey Playter all of Sun Prairie, WI; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She loved her pets Duggan and Angel. Predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 in St. Jude Catholic Parish 737 Hackett St. Beloit, WI with Fr. John Hedrick officiating. Burial will be in Owen Center Township Cemetery in Rockton, IL. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd. Rockton, IL from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
