Justine Slack

Justine Slack (Janower) 1972 - 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Justine Janower-Slack on March 20, 2016 at age 43. Loving wife to Mike Slack, she is survived by her mother 'Baba' Mary Janower, brothers Jon (Cindy) and Jay (Monique), her mother-in-law Roberta Slack, sister-in-law Judy and is predeceased by her father Walter. Justine was a constant presence in the lives of her nieces Jessica and Tayler providing wisdom and support. Born in Prince George, Justine formed many lasting friendships that followed her to the lower mainland where she spent the past 27 years. Justine excelled in her career as a SPD Supervisor working for Fraser Health Authority for over 22 years. Despite challenges in recent years, Justine had never been happier due to finding her partner in life, Mike whom she married in Las Vegas in June 2014. Her favorite place on earth was Disneyland, a place she visited often with her husband and nieces. The great constant in her life was her unconditional love of her family, her 'fur baby' Chico and friends. Her infectious laugh, radiant smile, no-nonsense candor and playful sense of humor made her unique and will be remembered by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wed., March 30 at 11 am at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd. Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
