Dear Stubby, Dallas, and all family membrs of Karen,
We are just today finding out about the loss of Karen. I am so very sorry. I saw her last in the store with that sweet baby granddaughter, and she looked so very happy. Karen had a loving heart for people, for animals, and especially her Lord and Saviour, to whom she turned many times. No matter what we talked about, she always had something encouraging to say, no matter what. I rarely left her house without a bowl of her homemade chili or something she cooked, which was always delicious! She was a sweet soul and I pray she is singing all those songs she loved! God Bless, sweet Karen! My love to all of you, her family.

I will always cherish my memories of Karen and Stubby and their sweet baby girl Dallas! My mind always visits the past memories of when our kids were in the Archer Prowlin’ Growlin’ Wildcat Band!!!! All the awesome Friday nights up in the stands supporting our kiddos! And laughing so hard at the chaos that Stubby created and seeing the true genuine love they had for each other just melted my heart! And Oh the laughs we shared even working in the concession stand.. Karen just had that sweet but fierce soul and I will miss her! But so proud to have called her my friend! Still to this day our children
are very close and considered as family
With upmost sincere condolences and may the Lord bring you comfort in knowing Karen WAS and IS and will ALWAYS be loved and of remembered!

Karen was one of the youngest of our gang of eight cousins. Her beautiful smile blinded us all to that mischievous streak underneath. What fun we all had exploring and building forts at our grandparents house, spending weekends at the lake, and eating penny candy Uncle Ronald always bought for us at the lake store. I don’t think we realized, at the time, how good life was. Though there are tears of sadness in our loss, we rejoice knowing her family is reunited. What a beautiful homecoming it must have been!

I loved my sweet sister-in-law. She was a fierce protector of her family, and loved Stubby, Dallas and Moira so much. She loved all of us!! After my mom died, she and Kevin Rutledge dubbed me Queenie, and they told me I was now the matriarch of the family. I was always amazed at the help that she would offer to strangers. She cooked wonderful food without recipes which was always so mind boggling to me. I don't think I have ever made anything without a recipe...maybe scrambled eggs. She let us all know at the end that she would fight, but she was not afraid of death. She was secure in her faith and that she would be in heaven with Jesus after her life here on earth ended. When I talked to her when she was in the hospital, I told her I was so sorry she was in pain. She told me, It's ok, God's got me. Wow! She gave us comfort at time when she was in pain. What a witness to her faith. I will miss you dear sister!!

Leslie, Dallas & all of Karen's family, Just want to say how much I loved my little neighbor & will miss her so as I know you all certainly will. My deepest sympathies to all of you as you grieve for this sweet, generous kindhearted girl. I know you've had many ups & downs as most families do, but you've always had love & that's the important thing. She was all about what she could fix for her Stubby's supper or put in his lunch pail. And Dallas, she was so proud of you & Little Moria. God bless all of you & please don't hesitate to call on me if I can help in any way. Love & prayers for all of you, Cookie
