Mike and family, I am deeply saddened for your loss. We have always admired the love and support the McGinnis family shares with everyone around them. I hope that we all can return the gesture in some small way during this difficult time. Sending all our love.

There are some people you meet in your life who touch your heart the minute you meet them. Mike and Karen are both this way. Mike, I hope you feel the love and support from all of us. I know that Karen is with you and your children and she is holding Kelsey in her arms again. Karen - you will be missed. Your smile always brightened my day every time I saw a picture of you and saw what you and your family were doing. You all continue to be in my prayers for peace. Much love to all of you.

So very sorry for your loss. Karen was a wonderful mother and wife. I was a part with knowing this loving family, as I worked with their amazing daughter Kelsey as a TA in the Special School District. ❤Mary .

I didn't get to know Karen well, but through Mike and Kiersten I could tell she was a loving wife and mother. The way their faces would light up in her presence and her nurturing ways; showed that not only was she loving, but she was loved. To the family of a remarkable angel you have my sincere condolences.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to the family. She will always be watching over and will be with you everyday. She was just like another mom to many of the "baseball boys" and will be so missed by them. Keep the memories going forever.

Karen was the strongest person I have ever met! Despite the many huge challenges she has faced, she always had a positive attitude!
My fondest memory of Karen was of her bringing Kelsey to all the school parties at Mike's 4th grade classroom. Kelsey was all dressed up (I think with a bow in her hair) and so pretty. The 4th graders (including my daughter Erica) just loved Kelsey and would immediately run over and surround her wheelchair. Those 4th graders learned a valuable lesson from Kelsey's visits! They learned to accept and respect all people, including those with disabilities! My daughter still lives her life always accepting and respecting all people!
