Karen L. Staples, 60, of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Thursday, March 16th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.
Karen was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on April 13, 1962, a daughter of Betty J. (Padula) Klingel, of Potter County, PA, and the late William J. Counterman, Sr.
She was the wife of the late John F. Staples who passed away in 2015. Karen was employed as a greenhouse worker at A+S Farms in Pen Argyl, PA. She enjoyed flowers, plants, and spending time with family.
In addition to her mother Betty, Karen is survived by a son, Zackary Staples, a sister, Kathy Hendershot, a brother, William J. Counterman, Jr., a step-sister, Angel Jankowski,
two stepbrothers, Patches Klingel and Benny Bergstresser, and a stepmother Lois Counterman. Karen was predeceased by a brother Kenneth R. Counterman and a stepbrother Clifford Bergstresser.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Staples family in c/o the funeral home, 4 Lillian Lane, Bangor, PA 18013.
