Sadly passed away. Beloved wife of 15 years of Dan Sullivan, beloved daughter of John and Barb Scobie of Ottawa. Beloved sister of Allison and Krista Scobie. Sadly missed by nephew Jack, nieces Heather and Rachel and sister-in-law Wendy. There will be no immediate service at the request of the family. Privacy is requested to be respected at this sad time.

I would like to take the time to express my sincere condolences to Dan and the Scobies on your loss.
I have very fond memories of Karen, Dan, and a bunch of us heading down to the Market and having a great time. Karen was always so fun and feisty and you could tell how much she and Dan loved each other. Like all true love stories, theirs was passionate, and fiery at times, but you never doubted she truly loved him.
In 1993 and 94 Ian, Scott and sometimes Dan, sometimes Slip shared an apartment in a low-rise on Monk Street across from Lansdowne Park. There were so many good nights of laughter and joy during that time, and Karen was a big part of it.
A number of people have mentioned Karen's laugh, which at times told me where everyone was when I was looking for the gang!
She will be missed.

I am so sad to hear of your loss. I have so many great memories of Karen in high school and in particular in our early 20s when we both worked downtown in the same office on Elgin Street. She had the best laugh -- I will never forget it. Thinking of you all.

So many wonderful stories of Karen and the Scobie family and this news has really broken my heart. It's been many years but I will always remember the warmth of her laugh and spirit like yesterday.
