My heartfelt sympathies to the family. Even though we're neighbors, I never knew Kari personally, but she always waved with a beautiful smile on her face. My condolences to the whole family.

The smile and warm personality of Kari's made everyone's day!!! She was a God sent to the people she came in contact and always put a smile on my mom's face. She was an angel on earth and now an angel in heaven!

I moved to Pennsylvania from northern California in the spring of 1988, and met and worked with Kari's father Jay. I have been friends of the Schlegel's for years and watched Kari grow from an infant to a young adult. She always had a smile on her face and was a kind and loving soul. She loved people and loved life and her presence will be sorely missed. Her soul will journey on in the Divine Love of God.

Kari, you always made me laugh. Even when I was having a bad day, you would say something totally off the wall and hilarious, and I'm pretty sure I snorted a few times. (Which I don't do normally)
I will miss your uncontrollable laughter, your warm spirit, and your great hugs that would lift me off the ground at times. Thank you for lifting our spirits off the ground for the years we were privileged enough to spend with you.
Love you forever and always buddy! ♡

I was fortunate enough to have Kari in my class when she was in second grade. Kari was such a sweet girl who even then was concerned about others and how they were treated. I am so sorry that the world will not have her compassion and loving spirit in it. Mr. and Mrs. Schlegel and Mindy I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Patty Eckenroth

Dear Kari, it saddens me that you have left us so soon. You were a truly beautiful person inside and out. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting you and getting to know you. Your spirit was so bright and anytime you were in a room there were smiles on everyone's faces. You made a dark day bright. May you rest in peace and continue to live in our hearts, and may the light you shared with us be passed on through us.
Bless you, Kari, for being a part of our lives.

The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
Kari, in your version, there are kittens and peanut butter cups as far as the eye can see. I'll remember you always.

I worked with Kari. She is and was an amazing young lady who could put a smile on anybodies face. A person could be in a foul mood and Kari would just have to talk and laugh and it would put everyone around her in a better mood. She was and is an inspiration to be kind and loving just like her. I hope you are watching over us Kari and reminding us to be kind to everyone. You are greatly missed by all.
God Bless your family.

To The Schlegel Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Kari was one of the sweetest, most gentle girls I came to know as a co-worker. She had the most infectious smile and a laughter that filled a room with happiness. I will always treasure the time I spent with her and feel blessed that our paths crossed and we became friends. I'll miss you Kari.
