I would like extend my condolences to the Ronald family. I found out about Katherine’s passing a few years later. I had moved to Australia and after a few years, I reached out to a mutual friend in Canada and I asked him if he knew what Katherine was up to. There was a moment of silence and then he shared the news. My heart just sank and I was speechless. We met during high school. I remember it like it was yesterday, at the local swimming pool. Katherine was a beautiful girl inside and out. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can talk for ages and Katherine was always happy to listen. She made everyone feel special and she had a gorgeous smile too. Katherine, you will be missed by me and by many people that were fortunate to have met you.

Thank you so much for remembering Katherine. I was very surprised to see her picture in the paper and extremely touched to read the kind words that you wrote for her. She was a very special person and she is missed and thought of every single day. She loved you three very much, you were very good to her, and still are. Thank you!

Thank you so much for remembering Katherine on this 5th anniversary of her death. We, her family, think of her every single day, and our missing her does not ease. I often think of those who turned out for her funeral - all of her wonderful friends and colleagues - and this always brings comfort...that she was so loved. When I saw your tribute in this morning's paper, I wanted to thank you all; I hope that you can read this small gesture of my appreciation.

Whether it be at pool side or out for dinner; my time with Katherine and Mike would always be a wonderful time and often brings back the memories of those times we spent together.

No matter how bad my day was going or how bad a mood I was in all it took was running into Katherine in the lunch room and my day got better. She had that ability to brighten up the world around her.
