COLLURA KATHLEEN
Age 57, of Monroeville, passed peacefully, on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Kathy is survived by her husband, Michael Collura; her son, Michael Collura (Elizabeth); granddaughter, Rachel Collura; and her sister, Shirley Riemann; daughter-in-law of Jean and the late Michael Collura. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Florence McCormick; and sister, Florence Castle. Kathy was born on June 13, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Baldwin High School and married her high school sweetheart in 1978. They moved to Monroeville, Pennsylvania shortly thereafter, where they raised their son, Michael. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Playing tea parties and dolls with her four year old granddaughter brought her immeasurable joy. Kathy was also a beloved mother to her pets. She enjoyed walking her Yorkie, Lil Bit, around the neighborhood and often taught her African Grey parrot new words and sounds. Kathy and Mike loved to travel, and counted Hawaii, the Caribbean and Alaska amongst their favorite cruise destinations. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL, INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church. Entombment following in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the White Oak Safe Haven Animal Shelter, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, greatly appreciated.
