Kathleen E. Gavazza

GAVAZZA - Kathleen E. (Tavares), 71, of Sagamore, died unexpectedly at home, Thursday, May 26, 2005. She was the wife of Emiliano Gavazza for 46 years. Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Kathleen and Donald Stubstad of Sagamore, Teresa and George Towers Jr. of Pocasset; a son and his wife, Steven and Esther Gavazza of the Foreign Service, currently residing in Maputo, Mozambique; a granddaughter, Katie Stubstad of Sagamore; three grandsons, Tim Stubstad of Sagamore, and Jeff and Chris Towers of Pocasset; two sisters, Althea Thomas of Tucson, AZ, Maggie Boone of Riverside, CA; two brothers, Philip Tavares of Grovetown, GA and John Tavares of Bristol, CT, and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late John L. and Emily L. Tavares and sister of the late Gerald Tavares. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 31, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church, Rte. 6A, Sagamore, with burial to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Sandwich.
