Kathleen Petrone Obituary
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and a 1961 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Kathy loved life, she enjoyed golfing, boating, tennis, and traveling but most of all she loved her dogs. She found great fulfillment in her volunteer work with the Humane Society.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents William P. Wright and Doris Wright, and her husband of 56 years, Robert L. Petrone.
She is survived by her children Kimberly (Stephen) Daugintis, Robert (Sandra Scott) Petrone. Her 8 grandchildren Stephen Heidbrink, Jami (Rachel) Goodnews, William Heidbrink, Brittany (Daniel) Ortiz, Lindsay (David) Francesconi, Ashley (Jason) Petrone-Matocha, Adrienne (Kyle) Petrone-Phillips, Tauni Daugintis. 17 great grandchildren Seth, Savannah, Shelby Heidbrink, Mia, Lorenzo, Niko, Max, Layla Ortiz, Dominic, Dawson, Slone Francesconi, Aubrey, Blake, Ryan, Emma Matocha, Cole, Cameron Phillips. Her loving sister Marleen Mercurio, brother Bruce (Mary Helen) Wright and sister Valerie (Tim) Morrison and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, along with friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge the awesome care, support and kindness of the ICU nursing staff and doctors at Gulf Coast Medical Center of Fort Myers Florida.
Guests are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4-7 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment will take place privately at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
To honor her life, memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
