Painted our lives and memories with the most vibrant shades of love, joyfully inviting all those she met into her heart and home (where you’d always find a comforting pot of soup on the stove). Her soul was far too beautiful for this world and on February 6, 2021 St. Peter gave her an Express ticket straight through the Pearly Gates, which she will no doubt shortly transform into a bohemian-chic paradise worthy of a full-page magazine spread.
Kathie had a brightly flamboyant spirit and a fondness for whimsical fashion: big hats, endless strands of beaded necklaces, and bold patterns in vivid hues were all “KT” trademarks. Her passion for living life in color will be remembered and carried on by all those who knew her.
Beloved wife to Timothy F. Fetherston; cherished mother to Ryan R. Scheuerell (husband Tim Scheuerell) and Molly C. Fetherston (husband Gregory Sabina); adored “Glamie” (glamorous grandma) to Brielle Helene Scheuerell and Stafford William “Cha-Cha” Scheuerell; dearest sister to Mary Ellen Swatske and James E. Temme (wife Maureen Temme); sister-in-law to Catherine A. Harrison (husband Jerry Harrison), John P. Fetherston III, Susan M. Surges (husband Jeff Surges), Margaret E. Kasch, and Daniel T. Fetherston (wife Stacy Fetherston).
Currently hosting a dance party in Heaven with her treasured parents Harold A. & Helene B. Temme; father- and mother-in-law Dr. John P. Jr. & Elizabeth Fetherston; brother-in-law Jeffrey Kasch, and many friends and relatives we know she’ll be thrilled to see.
We will hold you close in our hearts always and “love you all the times in the world X all the times in the world.”
Private services to be held at Lumen Christi Catholic Church and a Hat Send-Off Celebration to come later this summer. To live stream the services at Lumen Christi, please go to https://lumenchristiparish.org/ on Friday, February 12th, at 11:00AM. Kathie was a brilliant ball of creative energy there was never a dull moment when working with her at Gimbels where I got to know a little bit about how she was able to take a tiny bit of an idea and develop a brilliant advertising campaign. I know Kathie is now soaring with the Angels and may she live forever amongst those who admired and treasured her presence. With deepest condolences to her loving family. Dear Tim, Molly and Ryan,
I think you already know how much I loved your wife and mother. She was a lovely, wonderful friend. To say I have a broken heart is an understatement. Kathie Temme was and will always be one of my favorite people in my life and I am truly honored to know she cared about me and called me a friend. The fun times and laughter we shared at Elkhart Lake over the years will be golden, cherished memories. But more than that, I will fondly remember what a beautiful person Kathie was in so many ways. Funny, charming, wise, creative and so very talented. A compassionate soul. We had wonderful conversations. Mostly fun, sometimes serious . She was a thoughtful listener. Kathie was total class. Sadly, I know a valued friend like Kathie Temme is unrepeatable. May you all find comfort in knowing how much she was loved by me and so many others. Bless you all.

I know I speak for Molly's friends from BC that we ALL adored Kathie's fabulous fashion, loved trying on her many hats, and always felt so loved and welcomed in her home. She was magic - and that magic lives on through Molly. All our love, Stephanie (Kersey) and the Kersey/Kelly families.
