Many friends and colleagues joined the family of Mrs Kathleen Topliss (55), of Lime Street, Sutton, for the service at the town's St Mary's Church, which preceded burial at the nearby cemetery.A life-long local resident, Mrs Topliss was born at Mansfield and educated locally at St Philip Neri's and St Bede's RC schools.She worked as an examiner for Crystal Martin International, Sutton, and her interests included holidays abroad and spending time with her grandchildren and family.Mrs Topliss, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her husband, Mr Peter Topliss, daughters Joanne and Lisa, grandchildren Bailey, Molly, Harvey and Ellis and her father, Mr J. Loughnane.Mourners were Mr P. Topliss, Mrs J. Simpson, Mrs L. Wagstaff, Mr D. Wagstaff, Mr P. Simpson, Mrs M. Topliss, Mr J. Loughnane, Mr T. P. Moody, Mr D. Ashton, Mrs T. Ashton, Mrs J. Donations of £1,100 received in lieu were for the Intensive care Unit Trust, King's Mill Hospital, Sutton. The service was conducted by the Rev T. Mitchell, and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons Ltd.
