Fort Worth, Texas - Katie Mae Craig Morgan, age 83 of Fort Worth, Texas died on August 14, 2021, in her hometown. She was the oldest of three daughters born to parents Forest and Katie Prickett Craig. Katie graduated from Paschal High School in 1955 and was married to Bobby Neil Morgan on June 8, 1956. Together they raised 4 children, Craig, Neil, Cliff, and their daughter Bobbie Danice. Bob and Katie raised their children and lived in Edgecliff Village, (Ft Worth) for over 50 years.
Katie loved her job and made many lifelong friends, working over 20 years as school secretary at Tanglewood Elementary. She loved traveling and camping all over the US with Bob and their kids. Katie was an avid reader and loved to share her favorite books with others. She enjoyed being busy and was gifted with a sewing machine, designing hundreds of quilts and tea cozies each a work of art. Katie also enjoyed smocking beautiful outfits, many of which, have been worn by grandkids, great grandkids, and nieces for over 30 years.
Katie is survived by her husband, Bob, of 65 years; 4 children, Craig (Susan), Neil (Karen), Cliff, and Bobbie Danice Gilbert (Tim); sister, Jerri Craig McNair (Mark); 23 Grandchildren, Lindsay Bicknell, Craig Morgan, Phillip Morgan, Michael Morgan, Morgan Gilbert, Pierce Gilbert (deceased), Kody Morgan, Kaitlin Cook, Malachi Rodriguez, Levi Morgan, Londyn Meharg, Schuyler Morgan, Kai Morgan, Quinn Morgan, Forest Morgan, Denham Morgan, Jubilee Morgan, Archer Morgan, Story Morgan, Dashiell Morgan, Scout Morgan, Sunny Morgan; and nieces, Emily Dopkins (Anne) and Katie Hoaldridge; lifelong friends and extended family.
A memorial service for Katie will be held Saturday, October 29,2022, 3:00 PM at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, 4200 Camp Bowie Blvd, Ft Worth, TX 76107.
