BENTON, LA - Services for Katie Caroline Ward will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 1, 2011 at First Baptist Bossier with Dr. Fred Lowery, pastor, First Baptist Bossier officiating and assisted by Dr. Tony Meinhardt, pastor, Cross Point Baptist Church. Interment will be in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Katie Caroline was born February 10, 2005 in Shreveport, LA to parents Toni (Duncan) and William B. Ward and went to be with the Lord Saturday May 28, 2011 in Dallas, TX following a lengthy illness.
Katie was an active kindergarten student at Legacy Elemetary where her momma was her teacher. She was beautiful from the inside out. She loved her family and friends. Katie's most favorite things to do were laugh and play with her sister Lainey, and run and play with her puppy Daisy. Katie loved to swing in her back yard, she would stay out there as long as they would let her and her daddy was always pushing her. Katie had a laugh that will never be forgotten. She would laugh from the bottom of her tummy to the tip of her tonge. Katie loved to dance at Vicki's School of Dance. Katie attended Tiny Town at First Baptist Bossier. Katie is now dancing and singing with Jesus for eternity. She will live in our hearts forever, she will be missed yet not forgotten. She will always be our sweet angel KK.
Katie is survived by her parents, Will and Toni Ward and sister Lainey all of Benton, maternal grandparents, Chuck and Elaine Duncan of Benton, paternal grandparents Ted and Ann Ward of Bossier City, maternal great grandparents, Charles and Jeanette Townes of Benton, two aunts, Tina Theodos and husband Michael of Bossier City, Amy Jo Gates and husband Mat of Benton, uncle, Paul Ward and wife Christina of Carthage, TX, seven cousins, Andrew and Blaine Theodos, Grayson, McKenna, and Grant Gates, Zoe and Zivi Ward.
Pallbearers will be Mat Gates, Michael Theodos, Paul Ward, and Lance Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Theodos, Blaine Theodos, Grayson Gates, Grant Gates, and Ty Parker. You may share your condolences on line with the family at www.hillcrestmemorialfh.com

I can't explain what a joy it was knowing and taking care of Katie Caroline:) she is one special girl and taught me a lot while at Childrens- Toni, you and your family are an inspiration to us and show what it is to have true faith:) Katie will definitely be dearly missed. Audrey loves to tell me about the day when the class was leaving the Library. Katie Caroline put her arms around her and Ava Smith and said, "Hey let's be PALS!" Ever since then, Audrey has referred to Katie Caroline as "my pal." Katie Caroline was a sweet pal to have! What a special little girl! .

I will always remember that sweet little face the first time she walked into the library. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget her smile and her laugh. May you always know that God's grace is sufficient and that grace will get you through this. He will carry you every step of the way. Our hearts break, along with yours. While we don't understand God's plan, he felt it was time to call sweet Katie Caroline home to be with Jesus in heaven. Her health and body has been fully restored. She is an angel now and will forever watch over you and your extended family. Just know that I have never seen a family so loved and prayed for!
