Kay King-Hutchings

King-Hutchings, Kay (Katie) Kay (Katie), 72, King-Hutchings formerly of Kalamazoo-Brohman, Michigan went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 15, 2016. Katie was the daughter of Wesley and Rosella Kolb. She was born on March 7, 1943 in Kalamazoo, MI. Katie was united in marriage to Wayne C. King on June 24, 1961. He sadly preceded her in death October 9, 1983. She remarried in 1985 to Robert Hutchings on August 3, 1985. They were married thirty-one years. Surviving children are Joseph King, Sonya Meyers, Lorre Michaels, Todd, Scott, and Chris Hutchings and thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, six brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews. She was a most remarkable, beautiful, and gracious woman. She could really light up a room because the love of Christ shined all throughout her. With her strong faith, heartfelt powerful prayers, willingness to forgive, unconditional love for her family and friends, all the loving pets she adored and cared for in her lifetime. No matter what her struggles have been, she made a choice to live life filled with love and gratitude. Her kindness and compassion for others was so genuine, her courage and strength amazing. Her testimony, always inspiring. She will be waiting to see us all again one day. Until then, she will be forever loved, missed so dearly, and be held in our hearts always. Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you." A private family burial alongside her late husband, Wayne King, will be held in late March at Mount Everest Cemetery. Date to be determined. No flowers, please.
