WINCHENDON -- Keith Buckner, 84, of 110B Lakeshore Drive, died Monday, Dec. 22, in Baldwinville Nursing Home.
Mr. Buckner was born on April 4, 1919, in Goleta, Calif., the son of William D. and Ada (May) Buckner. He graduated from Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix, Ariz. For many years, he lived in California before moving to Westminster, where he lived until moving to Winchendon.
While living in California he worked for Southern California Edison Company and was a member of the Pomona foursquare Gospel Church.
Mr. Buckner retired from the former Decotone Paper Company of Westminster in 1980. He had been a member of the Fitchburg Assembly of God Church since 1968, where he served faithfully in many capacities over the years including being a trustee, deacon, greeter, usher and sound technician.
He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran.
Mr. Buckner leaves his wife, Helen “Nancy” (Marchant) Buckner; one son, Daniel K. Buckner and his wife, Terri, of Baldwinville; two daughters, Cynthia L. Weber and her husband, Vaughn of Baldwinville and Coleen R. Beauvais and her husband, Jay, of Winchendon; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
BUCKNER -- On Dec. 22, Keith Buckner, 84, of Winchendon. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. in Fitchburg Assembly of God Church, 839 Ashby State Road, Fitchburg. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster. Calling hours in the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., Fitchburg, are Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
