Keith Darrel Hayden Sr.

Keith Hayden Sr. age 58 of Merrillville,In earned his wings on August 21, 2024 at Methodist Hospital surrounded by those he loved. A beloved son, brother, father, and friend was born in East Chicago, Indiana on July 2, 1966, to Mattie Lewis Addison and George Hayden. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1984, he enlisted in the US Army as a supply specialist and served his country as a private until 1989. After his military career, Keith worked in the private sector, in sales and customer service, receiving awards as a Salesman of the Year until his retirement in 2014.Keith gave his life to Christ in his youth and was a faithful member of Salvation's Free Christian Fellowship Church in Gary, Indiana.Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie (Lewis) Addison and George Hayden Sr., as well as his brothers, Roosevelt Addison Jr. and Larry Addison. His aunts Hattie Ruth Powell and Ida Mae Davis, His uncle John Henry Lewis Jr., Freddie Lewis and his first wife Pamela Hayden. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hayden; his children, Shana Johnson, Takia (Sean) King, Keithia Hayden, Keith Hayden Jr, Shakema Hayden, Kiara Hayden, and step-daughter LaTiffanie Harrell; grandchildren, Aiden, Sean Jr., Kailyn, Kassidy, Jace, Kingston, and Frankie, siblings Pinkie Craig, Gregory Addison Sr., Perry (Angela) Addison, Nannette Addison, Quintiney (Laurice) Addison, Joseph Walker, Tysharon (Delron) McDuffie, and Fanchon (Kelvin) Bushand a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
