McDOWELL _ Keith 1928 - 2002 Keith McDowell A.C., C.A. (retired) passed away peacefully at the Tom Baker Cancer Center on Saturday, September 21, 2002. Born in Bombay, India on January 25, 1928, Keith immigrated to Canada in 1946 and became the first ever foreign student registered at "Tech" (now SAIT). He was an avid sportsman, participating in soccer, tennis, cricket and was a long-time member of the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club. Music was another love of Keith's life, whether playing piano, singing or whistling. Keith retired in 1988 as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Revelstoke Companies. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Marie, brother-in-law Roy Davidson (2000), brother Kevin (2001), and dear wife Anna (2002). He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his three children, Geoffrey (Natasha) of Toronto, Roger (Carol) and Lorraine (Jim) Sexsmith both of Calgary; a sister-in-law Kay McDowell; two grandchildren, Christopher Sexsmith and Nicholas McDowell; and two nephews, Richard (Zaide) of Mexico, and Michael (Kaycee) of Nova Scotia. He will be long remembered as a generous and caring man whose door was always open to anyone. At Keith's request, no formal Services will be held, but a gathering for friends will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff at both the Foothills Hospital and the Tom Baker Cancer Center for their care and compassion throughout this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Terry Fox Run.
