Kenes Clements Bowling

With a name like Kenes, he truly was one of a kind.

Let's have a lighthearted look back on his amazing life - we're sure he wouldn't mind.

He was born and raised in Harlan, Kentucky, amongst a coal mining holler.

A childhood of exploring the mountains, each one a bit taller.

He moved on at 77, surrounded by so much support and love;

He'll now watch us grow and thrive from the high skies above.

His wife, Cynthia, of 47 years; sister, Joan (Bob); daughter, Meg; sons, Ehren and Kyle -

His memory, lessons, and legacy leave us with a never-ending smile.

He was beloved by his son-in-law, Sam, and daughter-in-law, Laine -

And the feeling was mutual; another father and friend was theirs to gain.

He adored his Unique Management work family, having never retired.

So many wonderful, mutual friends of Bill W. had also been acquired.

His grandchildren, though, were the true twinkle in his eye.

When Max, Emerson, Theo, or Keenan needed anything at all, they knew to call their guy.

He loved the New Orleans spirit and jazz, the Kentucky Wildcats,

hiking the woods, fishing the waters, and long visits to Bay St. Louis -

But helping others was Kenes at his truest.

We will miss his genuine kindness, sense of humor, undoubted love, his answering of every call -

Let the way Kenes lived his life be a lesson to us all!
