I only knew Ken through work here at IKEA Edmonton.First with our build up in 2003 and then again when he was the construction manager for our showroom remodel. I heard about his passing and left the store for a walk. Although I didn't know him well, we had a silent connection. Sometimes a look was all that was needed to know what he was thinking. He was a special man and I knew his family was everything to him. Our next store project is approaching and I will miss him. There will never be another quite the same.
My apologizes for taking so long to put this in words. I just wanted you to know he touched many people.

Dear Elaine - My thoughts are with you at what must be a difficult time. You spoke so highly of Ken. I will never enter IKEA or imagine the east coast without thinking of both him and you.

Elaine what a memorable tribute to Ken, a man who was dearly loved and truely respected! His 'Celebration of life' was exactly that; a Celebration! Velda, you delivered a wonderful service. Probably, one of the most difficult, as speaking about a family member is never easy, especially at a time like this. As each guest speaker shared memory after wonderful memory, we laughed, we cried, and we thought about all of the KEN-ISMS that have touched each of our lives. Please know, even through our sorrow, we can't help but find ourselves smiling... Take care & know we are only a phone call away.
Much Love,
Celeste

Dearest Donna and Sid--Our hearts go out to you during this very difficult time. Donna I heard about how wonderful your brother Ken was and how close you were to him. I can only imagine your pain--it must be truly unbearable. I know that time heals, so give yourself time and know that we all are praying for your family. You are in our thoughts constantly. I wish I could come and try to offer one of my mom's (Aunty Helen's)most famous hugs. She loved you and thought you were just wonderful. Love to you and Sid and your sweet children, Diane xo
