Kenneth Plath Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2024.
Kenneth John Plath, 94, of Mt. Kisco NY passed away on September 26, 2024, in White Plains, NY. Born on August 17, 1930, Kenneth led a life marked by kindness, humor, and as a devoted husband and father. In 1957,after dating for just two months, he married Muriel Bulman and remained happily married for 51 years until her death in 2008.

Kenneth proudly served in the Army for two years, dedicating himself to his country with the same fervor he applied to all aspects of his life. After his military service, he embarked on a longstanding career with State Farm Insurance, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike for his integrity and dedication.

Beyond his professional life, Kenneth was deeply involved in advocacy for families with special needs children. This passion was personal as well as public; as a father to a son with special needs. He was one of the founding families and President of Group Residents of Westchester (G.R.O.W), helping to improve countless lives through his commitment and leadership.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenny of Hartsdale, NY, Wesley (Diane) of Florida, Christopher (Lori) of Mahopac, NY, and Virginia "Ginger" (Kevin) of Rye, NY; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Muriel and another son.

A service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Mt. Kisco, NY, on Saturday, November 16, at 10 am. His life was a testament to the power of dedicated service, both in his professional endeavors and personal commitments, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
