The Lowry Family, Eleanor, and Betty,

We are so saddened to lose our dear friend, Kermit. Our friendship goes back to our college and fraternity days at UVA. We had the privilege of spending several days with him last May, 2005, at the 50th UVA Class Reunion in Charlottesville. God is good; He gave us the gift of those days with Kermit. We will always be grateful for our friendship and for the joy of his wonderful sense of humor.

Our hearts and prayers are with you all.

It is with great sorrow and many tears that I write this to Kermit's wonderful family and our mutual friend, Betty.

I will miss our weekly calls and his encouragement cheering me on in my battle. In our last conversation about two weeks ago he told me "I love you Aunt Elena". I repeated the same to him. He'll always be in my thoughts and prayers along with his Uncle Bruce. I love all of you.

Dear Lowry Family and Betty,

As you know, though Kermit Jr. was my Dad's nephew, the four years between them made them more like brothers. Dad was always so proud of Kermit's accomplishments and the wonderful professional and family man he was. From blowing up outhouses when young, to sitting together in the hospital when my mother had cancer surgery five years ago; they shared a great kinship. They had their last reunion this past October. Dad unexpectedly died in February. Perhaps it was part of a plan after all... They are together again, reminiscing and having a great time. We shall miss them but

treasure the memories, laughter and love they brought to all.

God Bless,

Lea and Karen Corbett

Dear fellow Lowrys and Betty,

Kermit was my Dad's running buddy in childhood. He recently told me of Dad's invented game whereby Dad would jump across a ditch and Kermit would follow. Then, he'd find a bigger ditch and keep it up until Kermit fell in.

Kermit and you all taught me how to ski. I subsequently met my wife on a ski trip. Kermit came to our wedding and headed the toast, wishing us to be happier than pigs in slop. His wish came true. I regret that I never got to learn how to hunt from such an accomplished hunter.

If its any consolation, I can only imagine what he and Dad are "discussing" right now.

The hearts of our family go out to yours.

All best,

David Lowry and Family
