Dear Nancy, Ricky and Wesley, we chose and planted a very special plant for Kristin. It is graceful, willowy, soft as a cloud and purple. Lori says it is a happy plant, like Kristin. We can never forget what a special little girl she was and how she blossomed into a beautiful young lady with charm and grace. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all. With love, Uncle Lacey, Aunt Velma and Lori

Our hearts go out to the family of Kristin. I lost a nephew who was about the same age. His name was Kelvin and was from Tennessee. Lord protect us and help us to survive the loss of our children.

To The Kristin Hurst family,
I am so sorry to her of the loss of this precious, giving child. No one this young deserves to leave this world so soon and not experience the joys that life has to bring. I am so terribly sorry to hear of this loss and my thoughts and prayers will be with your family. You can rest assured she is walking the streets of gold and is with Jesus as we speak. I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy, it always breaks my heart when I hear of things like this - I pray that God's peace and love is with all of the family of this sweet and giving young girl. With my deepest sympathy and love!
In Christ's Love,

Kristin,
I know I had not seen you or your family in years, but I always considered you to be family. Our families lived across from each other and we practically grew up together. Things happened, families moved, and time passed. But for the most part, we all kept in touch. I can't imagine what your family is going through, but all I can do is be there for them. I won't forget what your grandmother said about you the other day. She said, "Kristin always lit up the room." And at that moment it was like time stood completely still. I looked around the room at all of the people forming a line that seemed to never end. "She still does," I said. We all smiled as your grandmother agreed. You will always have a place in my heart. You were the sister I never had.
