KURT DOLD Obituary
December 13, 2013 following a brief illness. He was 68. Born in Washington D.C., Kurt was a longtime resident of Norwood and graduated from Catholic Memorial High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Annapolis. Kurt received the Meritorious Unit Citation. He worked for many years as a computer engineer. A devoted family man, he was the beloved son of William Dold, Jr. of Norwood and the late Barbara A. (Parrish) Dold; loving brother of Karen Duffy and her husband David of Allendale, NJ, Gail Nixon and her husband G. James, Jr., of E. Walpole, Neil Dold and his wife Mary Jane of N. Attleboro, Kevin Dold and his wife Marjorie of Walpole, Janet Novak and her husband Thomas of Stuart, FL, Christopher Dold of Plymouth and the late William D. Dold. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 18th at 10:30am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Timothys Church, 650 Nichols Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, December 17th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Kurt Albert Dold may be made to Norwood Circle of Hope Foundation, PO Box 421, Norwood, MA 02062.
