LANA KUUPUA KAUWALU
Lana Kuupua Kauwalu, formerly of Hawaiian Memorial Park & Mortuary and musician with "Melelani Serenaders" passed away on March 8, 2008. She is survived by daughters, Cherilyn "Leo" Kauwalu of OTS (The Bus) and Camillia "Ulu" Kamaunu; granddaughter, Raelyne Kamaunu (Emmitt Lapinid-Kamaka); grandson, Brandon Kauwalu; great-granddaughter, Irieana Kamaunu; brother, Bruce (Joyce) Kauwalu; sisters, Velma (Francis) Maikai and Janis (Joseph) Kupukaa; hanai sister, Winona "Maile" (Iwao) Marumoto; 22 nephews; 17 nieces; 40 grandnephews; 40 grandnieces;7 great-grandnephews; 9 great-grandnieces. Visitation 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, service 6:30 p.m. Scattering of ashes 12 noon on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Kailua Beach Park, meeting near the Lanikai Boat Ramp. Casual attire, lei and loose flowers welcome.

She is truly a virtuous woman who has touched many hearts. She will be missed but her smile will forever be in my heart. My prayers are with your ohana.
